Edwin is learning so many new things! Today in his online speech therapy, he said "bye bye" over and over to his therapist and signed "all done." It was funny because we weren't done, but it was also kind of sad because he clearly wanted to go outside and didn't want to do speech therapy. He's getting very communicative about what he likes and doesn't like. He sits in his booster seat at the table and says "eat now!" And he sits in my spot on the bed and says "mine." He also pushes his toys into me and says mean before he actually does it. I'm not sure what to make of his little personality yet! Haha.

I’ve told myself I want to document my beautiful boy’s life journey more, so I am committing myself towards deeper reflections. Little Edwin is growing so much! After a month of speech therapy, his language has bursted into understandable and frequent word-development! We have been doing speech therapy remotely, but I already knew he was going to have a leap in his language skills. I do not think the speech therapy made much difference, but Rachel and Katy’s advice has been useful. Yesterday Edwin ran around the bedrooms screaming and cackling hysterically. It was so cute. He is so excited to be alive and to communicate and play games with us! He found a new hiding spot in our Hide and Seek play, behind the crib in the dark. He’s not afraid of the dark. It is 12:26am, and I am hungry. Fortunately, I have a small apple to snack on, but it is unusually tart for a gala apple, and the skin is tough. I've been better about eating today. Some days are very hard on me, while others, I feel relatively normal. Two days ago was especially hard on me, but yesterday my dad got us pool tags and I went swimming for a little while in the evening. It thundered twice, and even though it was far away, the lifeguard closed the pool for the safety allotted time. Only, the life guard decided to hang out with the kids, being a kid herself, far longer than a mere 15 minutes. That wasn't fun because I was actually cold and wet because the clouds in the distance were blocking the setting sun. The sun did eventually come out as I waited. My hunger kicked in shortly after they reopened the pool, and I had to pee, so I went home fairly soon. Bonding with the baby

So much has taken place since I last posted a blog. I feel a little bad that I didn't keep up with this journal. Things have been so busy. I have spent a lot of time working on getting ready for the baby that there just wasn't time for this blog. But tonight I feel like taking the time to write something. I really wanted to have a journal to look back on during the first moments of my baby's life. Many things have happened throughout these 7 months, but I will focus more on how I am today. Today I read baby his first book. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue fish. I laid on the bed in my old room with my shirt lifted up, talking in an animated voice so that he could hear the rhymes. He moved a lot during the reading, so I hope he liked it. He moves a lot when I lay on my back. It's beautiful to see and feel him moving. He is moving even now.
